Pop a new Current Directory and Disk off the Stack Usage: popd [-hvd-] [ n ] Pop an integer n directory paths from the top of the stack, making the top one remaining the new current directory and disk. The default for n is 1. (See also the cd, dirs, pushd and rotd commands.) Options: -d Discard just stack entry n, counting from 0 at the top, popping everything below it up one level. -s Silent.
